The island city of Las Palmas has an efficient public transport system. Visitors can tour the city by renting a car. Travel by Air


Visitors going to the island generally arrive by plane that lands in the Gran Canaria Airport, which has three zones. Zone A is for flights from countries in the European Union, Zone B handles all other international flights, and Zone C supports inter-island flights. The airport is located roughly 18 kilometres from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and is very near the main tourist attractions at the southern part of the island.

Travelling through the city and the rest of the island by bus is cheap and easy. Bus stops are located on almost every street corner. The numbers on the bus indicate its destination. Those who want to go to the main city of Las Palmas should take the number 60 bus.

Travel by Taxis


Traveling by taxi is a great way to explore the island. Hailing a taxi right off the street is easy and there is no traffic pile up to worry about.
